Finding a Venue - Part 1

After seeing all the gorgeous rustic weddings out there on the wedding blogs, I thought I wanted that for myself.

I looked into places like Misty Farms in Ann Arbor,

My fiance and I even went and looked at Woldumar Nature Center in Lansing.

But even though all the barn that I've come across have looked so beautiful, we realized it just wasn't us...

Did anyone else come across this in their venue search?  Was the wedding you imagined not the wedding that fit you?
