Broken Furnace

We woke up on Saturday morning to a cold house.  The furnace had been making a weird whistling sound earlier in the week but I ignored it, hoping that it would just go away if I didn't acknowledge it. I put Ryan in charge of finding someone to come out to take a look at our furnace, while I emailed the landlord.  The first company that Ryan called said they were booking appointments for Tuesday. We couldn't wait 4 days!  Luckily, the next company said they could come out that day. It ended up that our motor had died and need to be replaced.  The cost was just over $410.  The landlord agreed that we could deduct the amount we paid for the repair from February's rent.

Woah! I can only imagine how inconvenient that must have been. Waking up to an annoyingly chilly morning. And as for the broken furnace making the whistling sound, I would've searched the entire house just so I can stop it. Haha! I'm glad you decided to get it fixed. Hopefully, it doesn't happen again. Keep us posted. :)

Hi Sarah! I hope your furnace hasn't been much of a bother lately. Did the issue go away permanently after the replacement? Anyway, it must've been frustrating to be woken up by that sound. I'm just glad your landlord was reliable enough to cover the charges, like he should. I hope everything is doing good. Take care! :)

It’s a good thing that your landlord agreed on deducting the amount you paid from the rent, otherwise it would have been quite disappointing. Anyway, some companies aren’t really capable of attending to you needs ASAP, but it’s nice to know that you found one who could. Anyway, thanks for sharing!
